Since the urine culture test is a simple test that requires patients’ urine samples, no special preparation is needed. We recommend drinking ample water and avoiding urinating for at least 2-3 hours to ensure a smooth sample collection process.

During the Urine Culture Test

After you have booked the urine culture test, a phlebotomist will arrive at your house to collect the urine sample. They will hand a sterilised plastic container to you, to collect the urine sample in. Once you have collected the urine in the sample, hand it over to the phlebotomist. They will send the sample to the laboratory for testing.
