ACTIVITIES:

“Well may all creatures on earth live in Bliss” – this Motto of Sanmargham has prompted the Foundation to Launch several Significant schemes in order to ensure practical realisation off the objective so that all of us who are now blessed with the priceless human form, may here and now while still living on this planet earth. Seek to acquire Supreme Gnosis for which, the first step is the amelioration of the troubles afflicting the body and the mind of vast sections of society that we see around us
            “Arul Neri” or the Path of Universal Compassion is being promoted in a Practical anddemonstrable way through sixteen different programmes devised by the foundation, a detailed hereunder. Many of these have already started functioning in full measure.

2. Vallaler Sadhana  Demonstration Centre.
3. Vallalar Sadhus’ Dormenatry.
4. Vallalar Herbarium.
5. Vallalar Spiritual Library.
6. Vallalar Sanmargham Research Institute.
7. Vallalar Sanmargham Publishing House.
8. Vallalar Education Society.
9. Vallalar Womens’ Hostel.
10. Vallalar Childrens’ Creche.
11. Vallalar Elders’ Residence.
12. Vallalar Industrial Training Centre.
13. Vallalar Home for the disabled.
14. Vallalar Preachers’ Congress.
15. Vallalar Social Service Centre.
16. Vallalar Board of Commerce.

                  Brief notes on the above sixteen schemes are furnished below. More detailed information on each scheme can be obtained from the Foundation who are happy to invite all philanthropic folks seeking the bliss of compassion through universal service, to participate in this endeavour.

(1) Vallalar Students’ Home:

Already functioning under the auspices of the Foundation, this home provides free education, food, clothing, accommodation and moral instruction to twenty five orphan children who are now being trained and brought up in a way that will make them good citizens of tomorrow. They will all study here upto the school final class and have the chance to go onward to further technical schooling and an independent livelihood of their own.

(2) Vallalar Sadhana Demonstration Centre:
Training camps and guide books are brought out by the Demonstration Centre so as to help develop and promote discipline of the body and the mind. Further, practical demonstration of the technique is held here as it is of real value to all Sadhana participants. Emphasis is on individual progress since world progress ultimately depands on individual progress. Precept and practice go together.
(3) Vallalar sadhus’ Dormenatry:
To set a living example as Sanmargham Preceptor to the children of the home as also to Sadhana participants a dormitory to house Sadhus engrossed in the pristine glory of sanmargham, exists at the centre. This dormitory is now sanctified by the holy presence of its first resident occupant. Thava Thiru Pl. Kungiliyam iya avergal of Vadalur who was steeped in full measure in the philosophy of Vallalar and served as a beacon light for students and Sadhaks alike and to the general public as well.
(4) Vallalar Herbarium:
This centre can process many significant herbal tonics in accordance with the directives of Vallalar, for the benefit of all – students, sadhus, sadhaks and all those who seek madical advice and treatment facilities from here. Specialised staff with background training, knowledge and skill would be assigned this important task.
(5) Vallalar Spiritual Library:
Hundreds of books and periodicals on a variety of spiritual topics in English and Tamil are available in this library. More such shall be added in future.
(6) Vallalar Sanmargham Research Institute :
To undertake a deep study of the philosophy of Saint Vallalar, this institute organises regular lecture programmes on the different aspects of Sanmargham, instructional courses and research projects on Thiru Arutpa, on the hagiography of Vallalar, on the basic tenets of the Sanmargham Code and on ways and methods for implementing the Programme.
(7) Vallalar Publishing House :
Entirely devoted to the printing and publishmg of works on Sanmargham, this centre brings out volumes, large and small, explaining the real import of this philosophy for the benefit of all those seeking this knowledge and also for those who have already come under this fold. Four such publications have already come out. The Foundation is also contemplating a monthly publication for popularising the teachings of Vallalar.

(8) Vallalar Education Society :
A comprehensive project for providing complete education, covering the Arts and Science faculty, technology, culture, language and literature, and philosophy, at all levels, is envisaged under the programme. Considerable planning and input are being contemplated in this direction.

(9) Vallalar Womens Hostel
This is being envisaged as a rehabilitation centre for destitute women who would be given training in handicrafts so as to make them live in dignity and independence.      
(10) Vallalar Childrens Creche :
Abandoned children will be extended the hand of love and comfort in this centre which will care for them all until they come of age and are admitted to the students Home of the Foundation. This is an important wing of the Vellalar Foundation - Home of Effulgent Gnosis.
(11) Vallalar Elders Residence :
With the changing social scenario, many elderly folks of our country have come to face incre.ing insolation from their families and the attendant despondency descending on them much as in the western world. To alleviate their sufferings and give them a warm shelter, an Elders Residence has been contemplated by the Foundation which cares for an comforts such neglected folks, who are spared the agony of brooding over their fate in the evening of their lives.
(12) Vallalar Industrial Training Centre :
With a view to enabling the children and students of the Foundation, the inmates of the womens Hostel and handicapped persons, to engage in self help activity, a Polytechnic is envisaged here, for providing suitable training in various small scale industries appropriate to the participants physical status.
(13) Vallalar Home for the disabled :
For a the education, training and fruitful social assimilation of handicapped persons, a specialised home is being planned under the auspices of the Foundation.
(14) Vallalar Preachers Congress :
An important wing of the Foundation, the Congress is the key factor in publicising and popularising the teachings of Vallalar in all parts of the country through various means - lecturers, seminars, field camps, Arutpa Declamation, Posters, Radio and T.V. talks and so on. Considerable infrastructure is being built up for this purpose.

(15) Vallalar Social Service Centre :
In addition to spiritual activities various social service programmes like literacy campaign, wedding bureau, dedication, counselling, etc., are also adumbrated here on a long term perspective.
(16) Vallalar Board of Commerce:
Commercial Business activity in strict accordance with ethical values, is another long term plan under consideration, in order to secure sound financial footing for the organisation. When operational, this could serve as an ideal model for other such institutions in the country.
